F e b r u a r y 2 2 Tera Analysis have upgraded their program Quickfield which solves plane and axisymmetric problems of electrostatics, nonlinear DC and AC magnetics, current flow, nonlinear heat transfer, stress analyis and coupled problems. Jim Overbeck has uploaded his calculator program k7 to the Math Archives. It evaluates algrebraic expressions and has a crude "programming" capability. Its precision is variable up to 270 binary bits and 60 decimal digits, beyond the capability of a 80X87 floating point processor. k7 comes in both DOS and Windows versions.
