1 You may want to postpone section 1.7 until you cover the
derivatives of parametric curves in Section 3.5.
2 You may want to combine sections 2.1 and 2.6.
3 We have allotted 4 days for sections 2.3 and 2.4; depending
upon how much time you spend on the theory of limits, you could reduce
this to 3 days.
4 We have structured this syllabus using three exams. If you
want to have four exams, then one possible way to break the material into
four groups:
- 1.7, 2.1 - 2.5
- 2.6-2.10, 3.1-3.4
- 3.5-3.8, 4.1-4.2
- 4.3-4.8
5 We have postponed section 4.9 to 142.
6 We remind you of the University regulation that no exam or
quiz worth more than 10% of the grade can be given in the five days prior
to the study day, Apr. 30.
In Spring 2002, there are 57 meetings of the MTWF sections and 58 meetings
of the MWRF sections.
