Dear All,

New Modules
-----------
There are 3 new modules available in the latest release (called version
1.2). These are:

 Elementary Algebra: Basic definitions, like terms, expanding and
			factorising algebraic expressions and algebraic
			fractions.

 Introduction to Functions - Basic definitions, algebraic functions,
				function of functions and inverses. 

 Sequences and Series: Arithmetic and geometric series, partial sums
			and infinite series.

Please send us feedback on Transmath, particularly on bugs, mistakes and
any comments on the mathematical content. 

Mirror site
-----------
Our Transmath server is now mirrored at the Maths Archives server, 
University of Tennessee-Knoxville in the USA. WWW/gopher/ftp to: 

	archives.math.utk.edu

If you're in the States, you'll probably prefer to download our 
material from there.

Evaluation Report
-----------------
An evaluation report of TLTP project 15, which includes Transmath and
the TMP at Imperial College, is now available on the WWW (see below for
our WWW address). 

World Wide Web
--------------
Our WWW server is now available to the rest of the world. Go to it by
URL:
              http://caliban.leeds.ac.uk

If you have any suggestions regarding the content, please contact us
at the address below.

FTP
---
Old newsletters and the Transmath software are available via anonymous
ftp from:

 caliban.leeds.ac.uk     (ip address 129.11.36.19)

Type anonymous when you are prompted for a username and give your e-mail
address as the password.

**** Remember to change to binary mode before downloading the files.****
