What do I need ?
================

  Due to our limited access to some architectures we can't provide
  the latest MuPAD versions for all platforms. To use MuPAD you
  will need the latest available binary package for your platform
  and the according share package of the same MuPAD version.

  E.g. to install MuPAD 1.4.2 for Linux you will need the packages
  bin_linux_142.tgz + share_142.tgz

  (The only exception is MuPAD for Darwin. The package
   bin_darwin_200.tgz contains all necessary files)

  These binary packages are available:

  Release 2.5
  -----------

    bin_linux_250.tgz        - Linux 2.x with glibc >= 2.1.x
    bin_solaris_250.tgz      - SunOS 5.4 or higher

    + share_250.tgz

    If you encounter problems with one of these installations,
    please try first to use the shared libraries provided in
    the files linux_libs.tgz and solaris_libs.tgz. You only
    need to unpack them into your MuPAD installation.

Installation
------------

  1)  create a MuPAD directory (e.g. /usr/local/MuPAD)
  2) unpack the binary package and the share package
      in this directory with GNU tar (*):

      tar xzpf bin_${ARCH}_XXX.tgz
      tar xzpf share_XXX.tgz

      (*) If you don't have GNU tar first gunzip the *.tgz
          archives and then use your system tar.

  3)  Extend your path
      (for tcsh/csh in ~/.cshrc)
         set path = ($path /usr/local/MuPAD/share/bin)

      (for sh/bash/ksh in ~/.profile)
         PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/MuPAD/share/bin
         export PATH

  4) Now you can start 'mupad' or 'xmupad'
      If you have XView/X11 library problems refer to the ftp
      sub-directory XVIEW. Also refer to /usr/local/MuPAD/TroubleShooting
