INTRODUCTION DSTATTAB calculates the cumulative distribution funcions, inverses, and values of parameters for many common statistical distributions. It can also produce tables of any one calculated iten as a function of a specified list of values of another item. LEGALITIES (BRIEF) DSTATTAB is copyright to the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. However, the authors allow unlimited individual copying and use. Anyone desiring to sellD STATTAB or incorporate part of it in another product must obtain written permission. Distribution of DSTATTAB at the cost of distribution, i.e., as shareware, is allowed. THERE IS NO WARRANTEE. See stattab.doc for further information. The MS-DOS executable version of DSTATTAB that is being distributed was compiled with Microsoft Fortran fortran. All runtime routines are under copyright to the Microsoft Coporation. PACKING LIST The PC version of DSTATTAB is on a file DSTATT10.EXE. This is a self-extracting file created with a licensed copy of PkWare. When executed, it will extract Files README.PC - This file. DSTAB.EXE - The executable code of DSTATTAB. DSTATTAB.HLP - The help file for DSTATTAB. DSTATTAB.DOC - The documentation for DSTATTAB. INSTALLATION DSTATTAB documentation is on file dstattab.doc. dstattab.doc is a text document. Pages are terminated by a form feed (Ctrl-L). To use DSTATTAB the file DSTATTAB.HLP must be associated with the Fortran file 13. As an example of the setup required, suppose the executables and help file are both stored in directory C:/STATIST; the executable has file name DSTAB.EXE and the help file is named DSTATTAB.HLP. A one line file, DSTATTAB.BAT can be used to invoke stattab. DSTATTAB.BAT should, of course, be in one of the directories in PATH. The single line of DSTATTAB.BAT is: C:\STATIST\STAB.EXE C:\STATIST\STATTAB.HLP OBTAINING SOURCE AND OTHER VERSIONS The Fortran source of our routines be obtained by internet or Bitnet mail from statlib. For information on statlib, send a message whose body is 'send index' to statlib@temper.stat.cmu.edu. The Fortran source code, and MS-DOS PC and MacIntosh executables are also available via anonymous ftp from odin.mda.uth.tmc.edu (129.106.3.17).
