                                MacMuPAD
                   A Multi-Processing Algebra Data Tool

   This is a symbolic package for algebra with surprising power.  Its
interface is similar to earlier versions of Maple and it shares many of
Maple's features - symbolic manipulation, arbitrary precision arithmetic,
built-in 2D and 3D graphics, and a rich programming language.  Part of
MacMuPAD's power comes from having PARI incorporated in its engine.

   There are three hypertext "manuals" integrated with the package as well
as published references available from Birkhauser Verlag (German currently
available, English is due out soon).  The hypertext manual called "Demo" is
in English and is 133 pages long, the one called "Tutorial" is also in
English and is 281 pages long, and the actual hypertext manual is in
German and is 1280 pages long.

   An abbreviated list of topics includes simple arithmetic, numerous number
theoretic functions and operations, differentiation, operator arithmetic,
polynomials and matrices over the ring of Gaussian integers, factorization
of multivariate polynomials, matrices over commutative rings, polynomial
rings over Gaussian integers, Groebner basis for polynomial ideals, and
orthonormal polynomials.

   This version is limited in its memory allocation.  A full version is
available for free upon registration -- just send in the registration
form both electronically and by surface mail.  The MuPAD project is an
ongoing project, so continued support and further development is likely.

   Tested on a PowerMac with no problems.
