SpaceCurves.sea.hqx Space Curves David Isaak P.O. Box 9851 Saskatoon, sk.s7k 7z2 Saskatchewan CANADA This is a progam to draw cross sections of "surfaces." Expressions x(a,b), y(a,b), and z(a,b) are enterend using reverse Polish notation. The graph whose x, y, and z coordinates satisfy the above expressions for appropriate a and b is then plotted. The program is written in FORTH and the language's built-in functions can be used in the formula entry for the surface. Several examples are included with the program itself. These can be used as examples or guidelines when writing new expressions. The program requires no FPU. Color is useful, though. This was tested on a PowerMac, and it ran with no difficulties. -------------------------------------------------------------- Location in Mathematics Archives: Anonymous FTP: /mac/calculus /mac/graphingAids /mac/miscellaneous Gopher: (First select "Software" then "Macintosh software arranged by subjects") Calculus / Space Curves Graphing Aids / Space Curves Miscellaneous / Space Curves --------------------------------------------------------------
