Mandella.sea.hqx Madella, version 8.6 Jesse Jones P.O. Box 85411 Seattle, WA 98145 email: jesjones@milton.u.wahsington.edu Mandella is a rich Macintosh program in the spirit of FracInt, a popular program on DOS machines. A variety of fractal images and Julia sets can be drawn, including the Mandelbrot set, Sierpinski gaskets, Newton fractals, and orbital fractals. There are several drawing strategies available. There is even an option for overnight computation for larger images. Once an image is drawn, a zooming region can be selected with the mouse, and redrawn. Images can be saved and recalled later. There is a 45-page manual ending with an extensive bibliography. The program requires a color Macintosh, and it runs under system 6.0 with 32-bit QuickDraw or under system 7. -------------------------------------------------------------- Location in Mathematics Archives: Anonymous FTP: /mac/fractals Gopher: (First select "Software" then "Macintosh software arranged by subjects") Fractals / Mandella --------------------------------------------------------------
