IFSProg.sea.hqx IFS Stephen Scandalis 1414 Prince Edward Way Sunnyvale, CA 94087 70167.2205@CompuServe.com This is a program to draw fractals generated by iterated function systems. Several pre-defined IFS's are included as external files which the program can load. New iterated function systems may be defined by modifying the arrays of one of these systems. There is a limit of 4 affine transformations in a system, and in contrast to other similar packages, rectangles representing the transformations themselves are not drawn. The user can modify array values, colors, probabilities of the transformations, scale and offset, and the number of iterations performed. No FPU is required, and the system runs both on older machines as well as PowerMacs. It appears to be 32 bit clean. -------------------------------------------------------------- Location in Mathematics Archives: Anonymous FTP: /mac/fractals Gopher: (First select "Software" then "Macintosh software arranged by subjects") Fractals / IFS by Scandalis --------------------------------------------------------------
