HungryFrogEqn.sea.hqx HungryFrogInteger.sea.hqx HungryFrogCount.sea.hqx Hungry Frog Series. Science Education Software by Christopher Myers myers@bogart.stanford.edu Dr Fig@aol.com This is a series of programs for early elementary school where students are learning (Natural) numbers and basic arithmetic with them. In each program, frogs appear across the bottom of the screen labeled with integers, then objects (flies?, tadpoles?) float acrosss the upper portion of the screen with an appropriate label (a collection of dots for counting; an equation to be solved; or the successor of one of the integers labeling a frog. The user selects the answer (frog) and with the mouse, draws the tongue to the appropriate floating object. Correct and incorrect answers are indicated both visually (a smiley or frowney (?) face) and aurally. The program does not require FPU, and it runs on older macs as well as PowerMacs. It appears to be 32 bit clean. Testing was done using sys7.1. -------------------------------------------------------------- Location in Mathematics Archives: Anonymous FTP: /mac/elementaryEducation Gopher: (First select "Software" then "Macintosh software arranged by subjects") Elementary Education / Hungry Frog Series --------------------------------------------------------------
