Version 6.2 of 3D-Filmstrip (dated November 15,1996) is available here. For more information about this mathematical visualization tool see the ReadMe file. 3D-Filmstrip now comes in three flavors: 1) 3D-Filmstrip(PPC) packaged as 3DFilmstripPPC.sea 2) 3D-Filmstrip(FPU) packaged as 3DFilmstripFPU.sea 3) 3D-Filmstrip packaged as 3DFilmstrip.sea All of these have the same functionality. 3D-Filmstrip(PPC) is the correct version to use with any PowerMacintosh. (And it will ONLY run on PowerMacs.) 3D-Filmstrip(FPU) is the correct version to use with any of the pre PowerMac Macintoshes, provided it has an FPU (floating point unit). Finally, 3D-Filmstrip is simply a combination of both 3D-Filmstrip(PPC) and 3D-Filmstrip(FPU) in a single file (a so-called "fat" application). It is provided as a convenience for those who would like to put a single version of 3D-Filmstrip on a file server that serves both types of Macintoshes. (Version 6.2 does not have the 3D-Filmstrip(SANE) compilation of earlier versions, and so it cannot run on non-PowerPC Macintoshes without floating point hardware.)
