Siegrist, Kyle Department of Mathematical Sciences University of Alabama in Huntsville Huntsville, AL 35899 siegrist@math.uah.edu Interactive Probability This project consists of a collection of modules, each based on a classical problem or random process of probability theory. Each module consists of an interactive simulation of the process, written in Visual Basic, and a hypertext discussion of the corresponding mathematical theory, written as a Windows Help File. The modules are intended to bridge the gap between the mathematical theory and the behavior of real processes, and to illustrate the significance of the parameters of the process. The modules written so far include Dice, Buffon's Needle, the Matching Problem, Poker, the Ball and Urn Model, the Car and Goat Problem, the Poisson Model, the Galton Board, the Fire Process and the Voter Model. .
