Differential Calculus



The project consists of a series of short books for precalculus and 

calculus They seek to either explore areas that are sources of student 

confusion or to enrich/elaborate on standard topics. The books are 

currently concentrated in differential calculus. Topics covered include:



*	Newton's method

*	Implicit differentiation

*	Velocity distance explorations 

*	A related rate problem

*	Linear approximation using the derivative

*	An exercise in cubic splines



Currently I am working on precalculus topics especially qualitative 

exploration of graphs of the standard functions One book that explores the 

relationship of container shape to a volume vs. depth graph has been 

started. More to follow.
