Interactive Lessons for Calculus and Precalculus



Our project is to design lessons on specific topics which can be used by the classroom teacher in 

a math analysis class. The lessons are in a demonstration type format and don't assume the 

students have access to a computer. The exploratory and interactive nature of the lessons is 

preserved by allowing the teacher to solicit responses from the students and then show the effect 

of their conjecture. In designing our lessons, we chose a topic and worked up a series of student 

activities. In many cases the lessons are incomplete and need to be finalized. We felt outlines of 

many lessons would give other teachers a model and direction to follow in designing their own 

interactive lessons.
