We have structured our lessons so that they can be used in an algebra classroom with as few as 3 computers--the typical situation in many mathematics classroom. The lessons are also very useable in a computer lab or with an overhead projection plate. We also believe that MathCad should be used cooperatively by the students as a tool to discover mathematical ideas. We have done some work on eight topics that we believe teachers can use as a supplement to any Algebra II class. These topics include * introduction to Mathcad * absolute value inequalities * systems of equations * exploration of radicals * factoring * direct and inverse variation * quadratic equations * binomial theorems. .
