Project NExT is a professional development program of
the MAA. The Project NExT Fellowship
year must be the applicant's first or second year of post-Ph.D.
full-time college/university teaching. Applications must
be received by
Friday, April 13, 2012
to be considered for the
2012-2013
Fellowship year. Applications for each group of Project NExT Fellows are
accepted in the spring prior to the beginning of the fellowship year.

Eligibility Faculty for whom the 2012-2013 academic year will be the first or second year of full-time teaching at the college/university level (after receiving the Ph.D.) are invited to apply to become Project NExT Fellows. Approximately eighty Project NExT Fellows will be selected for the 2012-2013 year. If you have questions about whether you are eligible to apply to Project NExT, please consult the Project NExT applicants' FAQ. Applications for each group of Project NExT Fellows are accepted in the spring prior to the beginning of the fellowship year.
Application Procedure:
Applications are due by
Friday, April 13, 2012.
We accept applications only on-line. A completed application includes
the information from the form, a personal statement not to exceed two
pages, a research statement not to exceed 250 words, and a one-page
vita. Applicants must also have a
letter of support from
their chair or dean.

Applicants will be notified no later than June 1, 2012 whether they have been selected as Project NExT Fellows. Please note: it is most likely that notification will be e-mailed on this date, not before.
