Applying to Project NExT

Eligibility Faculty for whom the 2008-2009 academic year will be the first or second year of full-time teaching at the college/university level (after receiving the Ph.D.) are invited to apply to become Project NExT Fellows. Approximately seventy Project NExT Fellows will be selected for the 2008-2009 year. Applications for each group of Project NExT Fellows are accepted in the spring prior to the beginning of the fellowship year.

Application Procedure: Applications must be received by Friday, April 18, 2008. Starting in 2008 we are accepting applications either on-line or in hardcopy. Before applying you should read the applicant's FAQ. Then, to apply, either
(1) Fill out the on-line application form, or
(2) Send four copies of the application form (PDF;22K), a personal statement (two-page maximum length), a research statement (250-word maximum), a short vita (one-page maximum), and your chair's letter of support (PDF;20K) to T. Christine Stevens, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Ritter Hall 104, Saint Louis University, 220 N. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63103.
Please do not both submit an on-line application and send one in hardcopy.
Because we have to process a large number of applications in a short period of time, if you are submitting your application in hardcopy please do not send applications by fax or electronic mail. If you apply on-line, you do not need to send your application in by regular mail, by e-mail or in any additional other form.

Applicants will be notified by June 1, 2008 whether they have been selected as Project NExT Fellows.
