A summary of the initial (prior to the grant proposal) computer hardware and software available for use by students taking mathematics courses at Towson University is described. This includes equipment and software obtained through participation as an Interactive Mathematics Text Project site. The purposes of the grant request and the goals that we expected to accomplish are discussed. This includes a summary of what we have accomplished to date and what objectives are remaining, the anticipated changes in the mathematics curriculum at Towson University, and the effects on mathematics education in the community served by Towson University.

A description of what has been accomplished to date is given. This is mainly hardware and software purchases. The objectives that remain to be completed, and the obstacles encountered also are outlined. The changes in the mathematics curriculum at Towson University and the effects on mathematics education in the community served by Towson University are described. Examples of some interactive mathematics software developed at Towson University are shown.
