Most modern office packages include spreadsheets (such
as Microsoft Excel) which are sophisticated enough to
handle all the statistical computations normally
encountered in an elementary statistics course. Many
students already have some experience with office suites
and those who do not often find such software more
accesible than hardcore statistical packages. We will
explore several means for incorporating projects and labs
using spreadsheets and discuss our recent experiences.
