While Texas Instruments' latest calculator is shaped like a
TI-86, it is actually capable of much more, almost as much as a TI-92+.
This workshop is designed to give participants a hands-on introduction to
the TI-89 and its abilities. Topics to be covered include the basic setup
for the TI-89 including it's customizable toolbar, the computer algebra
system, graphing (with a focus on 3D), and more. Some familiarity with a
TI-8x graphing calculator is the only requirement; participants will be
provided with a TI-89 to use during the workshop.
Schedule: University Center, June 3, 8:00-10:00
