Workshop: Lessons Learned Teaching Linear Algebra Using an Interactive Text

The workshop will focus on three main topics. First, we discuss how to make an effective use of the Computer Algebra System, MapleV, to develop an interactive text. Second, we will demonstrate the use of interactive lessons, Labs , Projects, Automated Linear Algebra Functions and variety of other activities which enhance the learning of concepts and their applications. Third, we will share with the participants our experiences, students input and feedback, methods of evaluation, testing, and assessment of computer based instructions. It is expected that participants be familiar with MapleV.
