The Role of the Graphic Calculator in Mathematical Education

ABSTRACT

In Japan, there is a great desire among educators to use the graphing calculator in mathematics classrooms, although it is not standard practice to do so. We will discuss the role of the graphing calculator in Japanese mathematics education.
