We apply iterative averaging to the partial sums of alternating series accelerating convergence. We also see how successive averaging can be applied to series of positive constants, developing tighter integral remainder bounds that accelerate convergence, as well. These methods, though not trivial, are easy for the average calculus student and introduce a certain additional sophistication to the topic.
